Brynn pulls herself up along the coffee table and couch! Her cousin Marinda came with Grandma Marilyn for a visit and Marinda is not used to someone following her around (Erika is not moving yet) I guess Marinda got annoyed with Brynn at one point so she took her toys up to the couch and Brynn crawled right over and pulled herself up on to the couch and took her toy! I guess it was a sight! - She sings LA LA LA with us and says HI to everyone around us. We are trying to prepare for her 1st birthday. We can't believe that it has been a whole year !! - -- Brynn really enjoys playing with her cousin Macy. I think those two are going to be very good friends in the future.. they are so cute together!!

Brynn is moving everywhere! She does not like to be held anymore. She wants to be on her own moving!! She has a little temper that is out of control!! When she doesn't want something she gets very mad!! She still has not figured out how to drink out of sippy cups. She still just chews on it, i think that she knows that milk comes out of it, but hasn't figured out that she needs to suck. She absolutely hates being fed by anyone. She wants the spoon to do it herself. This has been very hard for me to handle as she gets so messy and food goes everywhere!! Grandma and Grandpa Kruse have her every Friday with Macy and they can not believe how much she wants to do everything on her own!! Brian and I still sit back and enjoy every minute that we have with her. She is such a perfect angel in our lives - we could not have asked for anything else more perfect in our lives...

Almost 1 year old!!! Time has been flying by!! What a wonderful year!! She still likes her bottle, everyone has always told me that the one right before bed is the hardest, but Brynn only wants her morning one. That is the only one that she takes. Sippy cups are out the window - straws are the way to go!! I guess whatever works. She has just started pushing around her walker and loves it. How cool she thinks she is right now.
9-25-05
Well the birthday party was a success!! Brynn had so much fun. Grandma and Grandpa Kruse gave her a slide and Brynn loves it. She prefers to go down on her stomach. It is so funny. Aunt Sara gave her a purple bean bag that she loves to climb on. She is quite the climber anything that she can get on - she does! And anything that she can push around the room she does - she is really figuring out this walking thing! She still looks so little walking. I don't think that it will too long before she figures out how to do it on her own.
10-20-05
Brynn is growing up so fast!! (seriously do I say that a lot?) We are getting ready for Halloween, which she will be a bumblebee. Grandma Barb bought the costume and got Macy a matching ladybug. They look so cute! Brynn is everywhere. The other day she came home from Julie's with holes in her pants on both knees and a big black eye from trying to go down her stairs head first! We know this child and stairs!! Up and down, up and down. Anything to climb on and she will be on it. We are working on walking still, when we try to get her to go from person to person she "runs" about 3-4 steps and just loves to fall in to us. She just laughs at herself falling....what a kid!!
11-6-05
Brynn is so much fun. She is always laughing, laughing, laughing. She loves to get her back and face rubbed. She gets in a staring trance whenever we do it to her and when she stops she grabs our hands and pushes it towards her face or back - it is so cute. We are still working on the waling with little Miss. Totally lost interest!!! She rather enjoys taking 4-5 steps between me and Brian and falls in to us and screams and laughs. It is pretty cute! She would rather crawl 100 mph looking straight down - never looks where she is going!!
11-14-05
Brynn is slowly starting to do more walking. Usually when prompted she will - she is still enjoying the falling in to us. Only a couple of times she has taken off on her own. She prefers to drop to her knees and crawl. She is so capable, but just absolutely refuses! (sounds familiar - she never did roll over) We think that she will be the "bully" at Julie's house - what a character!!
11-19-05
Brynn is finally starting to walk. She isn't dropping to her knees immediately. She can go long distances, but for right now she goes pretty short distances and either looses her balance and drops to her knees, but she always is looking for something to grab on to. She loves to feed Alex. She grabs one piece and tries to walk to Alex's bowl and drops it in and Alex eats it and Brynn heads back to get another piece. The other day she probably went back and forth over 10 times. Then stops to of course snap the buckles on her chair - all of her favorite past times. That is something that she has been working on for months and can finally snap the buckle together. It was Aunt Jenny's 23rd birthday yesterday and Brynn kept saying "Happy Happy" It is so cute.

Brynn's 2nd Thanksgiving is over. We were in Omaha at Grandma and Grandpa Headlee's house. Her cousins Marinda and Erika were not there. But all the Cotter boys were there. Brynn fit right in with them! It really helped that she can walk now it was so much fun. We got home Friday night and Saturday morning I gave Brynn a bath and had my back towards her and was getting myself ready and she was screaming (like normal) so I did not really pay attention to her. After a few minutes I turned around and she had pooped in the tub and was screaming because she was scared to death of it and pointing at it and yelling and trying to scoot backwards but the poop was just following her which was just freaking her out!! It was absolutely hilarious. We had to call Grandma Marilyn right away because she always tells us the exact same thing happened to Brian - We got such a kick out of it!!

It has been way too long for me to have written. Christmas is over and Brynn got so many great things. It was a lot of fun. She did not really get the opening of presents figured out. She would try, but if it was something she could not immediately play with she lost interest. Brynn is speaking and signing a lot - please, help, more, eat, milk - Her favorite word right now is baby. We are working on TANTRUMS right now!! Her and mommy and daddy are going crazy right now with her. Crying in an instant out of frustration. Hopefully it will get better - we are very excited for our new Fundus cousin to arrive that we just found out about!!
1-22-06
Brynn is so much fun right now. Her favorite words are shoes and socks. It is so fun to listen to her repeat everything we say in her own way - we have been having some problems at Julie's house. Brynn has been really mean to the other kids. Whenever they get too close to her she screams and cries in her only way she knows how to defend herself. I guess the other kids are starting to get annoyed with her crying. Brian and I are not really sure how to handle this one except that this is Brynn and we can't change how she is . She likes to do what she want to do by herself and if anyone messes with her she gets so mad!! What a stubborn little girl..
1-28-06
Brynn is so funny. She loves to run, run, run!! She can only be in a highchair or car seat for so long and then look out.... She is still very independent which is what we figured out what has been happening at Julie's. She likes to be doing or playing with something and if anyone tries to help or touch it she FREAKS. Macy has such a hard time because her personality is to help or take things from Brynn. So they are just 2 peas in a pod. But that is them and we love the two of them. When they are getting along it is great....
1-29-06
I just had to write again so quickly. Last night Grandpa Stan was throwing up and Brynn woke up puking and then Aunt Sara came home from Winter Royalty because she was puking!! How horrible!! Brynn puked all through the night it was so awful. -especially when she started dry heaving - she was not happy. I slept with her in our bed and dad slept downstairs. Brian was a trooper through the whole thing UNTIL I was trying to clean up the crib and he had Brynn and she threw up on him!! After that he stayed back!! His worst fear came true!! He just kept saying "I really thought we would get through her whole life with out her puking ever!"

We left Brynn this last weekend. We went to Kansas City for Eric Fletcher's wedding. Brynn staying with Uncle Ross, Aunt Jenny, and Cousin Macy. Grandma and Grandpa Kruse were busy already and hated to say no, but had to. Anyways, this was the longest period of time that we have been away from our baby girl. When we dropped her off on Friday night Jenny told Macy that Brynn was going to sleep in the living room and Macy cried until Jenny gave in and let Brynn stay in her room. When we talked to Jenny later she said that she laid both of them down and went back in a 1/2 hour later and Brynn was standing and laughing - Macy had put every toy possible in the pack in play and Brynn was too close to a dresser and opened the drawer and had all the clothes thrown out. Macy told Jenny that Brynn is too loud and tomorrow she had to sleep in the living room. That is too funny!! - We were happy to get home to her!! She can't tell us, but we know she missed us too!!
2-20-06
BRYNN POOPED IN THE TOILET! I almost died!! She keeps telling me that she is pooping, so we go sit on the toilet, but this time it actually happened!! I think it scared her and she wanted off!! But we waved and said bye bye and she blew it a kiss!! We will see!!
2-25-06
We went to Aunt Sara's last dance competition yesterday in Lincoln with Jenny and Macy. I think that is the first time in a long time that Brynn went all day without a nap! She fell asleep for about 20 minutes and that was it. We left at about 7:00 p.m. to come home and we put a movie in in the car and both Macy and Brynn stared at the movie the entire way home - their eyes were bloodshot and watering, but the both refused to fall asleep.
3-15-06
Brynn is really starting to talk. She pretty much understands everything that we say to her and she always repeats at least one word back to us. She is getting very frustrated with not being able to communicate with us - she has got the SCREAM thing happening right now. We don't know what we are going to do with her!! - - Brynn is going to be outside a lot this summer - she cries at the door and yells "side! side!" and when we let her go outside she just goes, goes, goes and when it is time to come back in she throws yet another temper tantrum!! What a little shit she can be!
4-23-06
I need to start writing more. Every day she is making us laugh and what independence she has right now! She has in her mind how she wants something done and if anyone or anything gets in her way she SCREAMS!! We have all learned to leave her alone until she asks for help. Her signing is so good right now - she picks up on that so well. She is still left handed most of the time. She will use her right hand a little, but usually ends up switching to her left for eating or coloring....
5-13-06
Brynn is so funny - she is really starting to put 2 words together - the funniest is bathroom. When she says her b's she sticks her tongue out. It is so cute. We have been working on colors so she points to everything and yells out some color - she is usually wrong except for her 2 favorite colors - pink and black! Her signs are outstanding - it is amazing how well she picks it up those signs from Aunt Jenny. more, milk, please, thank you, cooking, cookie, cracker, bunny, lion, raining, help, puppy, kitty are just a few... Her and Macy are so funny. For example we were at Grandma and Grandpa Kruse's last night for 2 hours and Brynn did not scream once - then Macy came and the second Brynn saw her she yelled "Mine" and screamed the rest of the time we were there!! They are almost sisters yelling back and forth at each other...
5-18-06
Jenny, Macy, Kylie, Lily, Sara, Brynn, and I all went to the mall carnival. We had a lot of fun. The 1st ride was motorcycles and Brynn and Lily got pretty scared they had no idea what to expect. Lily started crying and then Brynn panicked and cried too so we had to stop the ride!! We then went to the merry go round and Brynn clung to me. Then we got in one of those big balloon things that you get in and jump and Brynn LOVED it. We did it twice and I had to get Macy to go in and get Brynn out and of course she cried and cried. Her and Lily loved the train - they were pretty funny going round and round. Then Brynn got a big cherry snow cone - which she loved! Oh I almost forgot - we went on the ferris wheel with Aunt Sara and every single time we were at the top coming down Brynn would have almost a panic attack she would breath very heavy and shake. But on the way up she would yell WHEE! What a weirdo!!
6-3-06
Aunt Sara's last recital!! Brynn, Macy, and Tia got to walk out and give her big hugs at the end of her senior solo. Brynn LOVED the recital she kept rolling around on the ground copying what the dancers on stage were doing. She is ready for dance class next year!! Brynn is talking SO much. She calls all of her Grandmas - Grandpa!! It is so funny!! It is so fun to listen to her tell us things. We can "almost" understand what she is saying and the signs are all still there. We love her so much how could we possible have lived without her?
6-17-06
We went to Grandpa Stan's Nucor picnic today. I have been going to those since I was 2 years old too! Brynn and Macy had a great time. Brynn loved the big blow up things that you jump in - I could not get her out again! She just kept crying "jump! jump!" She loves copying what ever Macy does right now. What a great kid! - is still left handed...
7-5-06
Fourth of July was a blast. We went to Uncle Ross and Aunt Jenny's house. All the other kids were scared of the fireworks or they thought they were loud - NOT Brynn. She sat front row and yelled and clapped for every one. She loved to do her snaps too.
Tomorrow is Brynn's last day at Julie's house. We are so nervous about this. We will be going to Linnea Caauwe's house. Our stomachs are tied in knots. I hope so much this transition will work. Brynn has only known Julie since she was 6 weeks old. I just hope she get along with everyone.
7-8-06
Brynn's main goals currently are swimming (whenever she sees a pool - we have to practically hold her back otherwise she is in) Running (loves to run - would never stop if we did not make her) Dancing (we have taught her how to turn on the DVD player and one of Sara's old recital tapes will play and she will dance for hours) What a riot she is! Still to this day she is calling Grandma Barb and Marilyn - Grandpa. Everyone is Grandpa to her!! What a weirdo!! - For the last 3 nites Brynn has slept in her toddler bed with no problem. I did find her sleeping in middle of the floor 1 night, but I don't think she even knew that she was on the floor. I don't think she knows that she can get off the bed without me telling her she can. When I go in the room she says "mommy want off" I say ok and she jumps down!!
