Brynn is now a little over 2 months old!! We just can't believe how fast the time has gone. At her 2 month Dr appointment she got her 1st round of shots. It was horrible for her and for me! Brynn did very well during the hour of waiting time, but as soon as the shots started she cried and cried. She slept the entire rest of the day. She did not have any type of reactions to them - which was good! Brynn celebrated her first Thanksgiving too. We were at Grandma and Grandpa Headlees house in Norfolk. We met her 2nd cousin Rhett for the first time who is 8 days younger - but a whole lot bigger!! :) We are getting ready to move in to our first home. We are so excited for this! Brynn will finally get her first room and not have to share with mom and dad. We have really had fun deciding how to decorate. Brynn is such a good baby. She hardly ever cried only when she is hungry or tired. Otherwise she is talking, laughing, or smiling - she really does prefer to be on the floor by herself watching tv or staring at toys. She absolutely hates being on her tummy - but we are still working on it.

We have been preparing for Christmas lately. We have also been working very hard on the new house so we can move in asap. We really wish that we could have moved in before Christmas, but I guess it was not meant to be. Brynn is really starting to watch and observe things more and more. She laughs and smiles at everyone that talks to her. Dad went camping last night so Brynn and I slept in our bed together. I don't think that will happen again because she talked the ENTIRE night!! I hardly slept. She does sleep the entire night and gets up at about 7 a.m. every morning. She is not trying to suck her thumb anymore. -which is good. She still likes her pacifier, but not ever close to as much as when she was born. It is really funny because in the past couple of days she has found her hands and will stare at them all the time. She is beautiful!! What would we do without her? :)

Brynn spent the night at Grandma and Grandpa Headlee's last night. They are moving Omaha tomorrow and are really going to miss seeing her everyday. Brynn is currently laying on her mat looking up at the clip on accessories talking away. She loves to talk. When she wakes up in the morning she will lay there by herself and talk for an hour! She loves people to talk to her as she laughs and smiles back at them. She is still staring at her hands a lot. She has reached out for toys, but we don't know if it is an accident or she means to do it. She is so much fun right now. She loves to be propped up and just observe everything that is going on in the room. And enjoys going to our new house and watch us paint (we can hope that she does -right?) She keeps us very entertained by talking, talking, and talking - what a joy!!

We decided to get all of the accessories for Brynn's room for part of her Christmas presents from us. We are so excited to set her room up. She is so adorable. I have never seen such a beautiful perfect baby. She loves to smile and laugh all the time. Every time that anyone talking to her she smiles right back. She is so observant she loves to watch the tv and loves toys that are bright and colorful. She sits for a couple of hours and talks to her Baby Einstein mobile. We can hear her talking to it across the house. We love her so much and just can't imagine living without her!!! :)

Brynn just finished her first Christmas. She did sleep almost through the entire thing. She did sleep through almost the entire thing, but she got a lot of very cute presents. She is so much fun. Loves it when her Aunt Sara talks jibber in fake Chinese talk. Brynn smiles and laughs every time she does it to her. She is starting to get her first cold. Her breathing sounds like a dog and her nose is running like crazy. It is really funny to try to use the blue sucker in her nose. Instead of crying she laughs - she is such a good baby - we love her so much.

Brynn is growing so fast!! She is now slowly reaching for object (on purpose). She will even reach out for her pacifier and try to put it in her mouth. We can tell that her gums are puffy and teeth will start popping out. We find her trying to chew on things every once in awhile. She loves her Baby Einstein movies. She just watches the entire move yelling!! The other day Brian went to pick her up from Julie's house and he knocked and knocked and no one came to the door so he walked in to find the entire Broders family surrounding Brynn and making her laugh. He said it was hilarious......

FOUR MONTHS OLD ALREADY!! I had scheduled an appointment to get her pictures taken today, but she slept 15 hours last night woke up at 8 a.m. had a bottle slept for another hour. Grandma Kruse was here to see her and Brynn was not very happy and is now sleeping again - her eyes are watery and her nose is running - looks like it is her first full blown cold!! YUCK!! I was wondering when the bad one would hit. I feel so bad for her. Macy has a runny nose too - so they are the sick cousins together....

We are closing on our very first home today!! Brynn will finally have her own room. Grandma and Grandpa Headlee are coming here this weekend to watch Brynn so we can move. We are so excited for the next step in our lives. We love my parents so much, but we have definitely OVERSTAYED our welcome. We will always be very grateful to them - but we are outta here!!

We love our new home!! Time has surely flown since we moved!! Brynn is getting so big. Last week she had a temp of 101.3 for a day and 1/2 she then popped 2 teeth!! ALREADY!! The Dr. thinks the fever was due to the teeth - then we got our second round of shots and her legs were very sore this time then 2 days after that she got baptized!! What a week!! Our babysitter Julie tried not giver her a pacifier a couple days - she has now went 3 whole days without it!! She still likes it at night, but we will work on that. We also are really starting to get the hang of eating cereal. We are very excited for that. She is so funny right now she is constantly laughing at absolutely nothing! Alex will be sleeping across the room for her and Brynn will laugh at her for an hour. She also really likes peekaboo. Boy that really gets her rolling!! Dad just looks at her and says "She is getting so big so fast". She is so much fun we could not be any happier.....

Today mom ran some errands while dad and Brynn played. She is so funny with him. Her face lights up whenever he talks to her. - Brynn does have a cold again. Runny nose and does NOT like her cold medicine. Dad thinks that she has a six pack because she does these weird 1/2 situp all the time - it is so funny trying to watch her try to sit up! She will not rollover!!

Brynn and I spent the weekend in Omaha with Aunt Jenny and Cousin Macy. We watched Aunt Sara's dance competition. Brynn did NOT like being in the dance room. It was so loud and very hot - she cried so much that we thought she was still sick (she had gotten the flu a couple days before - pucked 5 times!) But the second we left she was talking and laughing with Macy like normal. We also found out that she does NOT like to sit in a poopy diaper!! She cried and cried most of the way home - so we pulled over and I got her out, but she was still crying so I checked her pants and they were full. Once she got a clean diaper she was back to normal. What a little stinker she can be. But we love her more and more every day!! Daddy was so excited for us to come home!! He was waiting at the door for us!! :)

We are still a little nervous about Brynn not rolling over yet??? She is really starting to get used to her stomach more and more. She can sit up on her own, but if she does fall to a side she hasn't figured out how to get herself back up. We are not really sure what to think. Some people keep telling us to be concerned and others tell us to not worry she will do it when she is ready..... We also switched to milk based low iron formula. Her poop were way too hard. We we are thinking that it was the iron, I guess we just need to wait and see - one of those fun parenting things that we all love - - wait for our kids to poop. :)
3-28-2005
We spent East weekend at Great Grandpa Joe's cabin in Okoboji. We had a great time there we did not do a whole lot - we can't wait for summer to come so we can swim. Brynn already has 2 suits that are so cute. She is now sitting on her own - the balance is not completely there, but she is getting it. She has been playing on her stomach more - still no rolling over, but may be some day. She is so much fun now and looked adorable in her Easter dress!!
4-15-05
Brynn is growing up so much (do I say that a lot?) we went to the Dr. today for a check up. Dr. says it's ok that she is not rolling over YET it looks like she is choosing to do the 1/2 situp thing instead of rolling. He said she is sitting up and will probably be standing pretty soon so she may be she will just skip the rolling over thing. We talked about her pooping problem too. He says that it is ok to stay on the low iron since she is pooping normal - we are having to change her clothes once a day but it is worth it she is not in pain anymore!! She is so cute!! Macy keeps wanting to squeeze her cheeks and does it so hard - Brynn has just had to get used to it!!
4-26-05
What a weekend we had. Julie the babysitter said on Thursday Brynn was not very "content" all day then she woke up a couple times that night crying. In the morning she had some crusty stuff in her right eye - I cleaned her up and didn't give it another thought then about mid morning we went to Big Apple Bagel with Grandma Kruse, Jenny, and Macy. By that time her eye had started producing lots and lots of pussy discharge and turned red. Jenny said that is pink eye!! So I called the Dr. again and got an appointment. I still just did not feel it was very serious - anyways when we got to the Dr. her eye was almost swollen shut with lost of puss - I FREAKED - The Dr. did not know what to think he almost sent us to the hospital!! I almost died. She had 2 ear infections, both eyes had infection and her right eye had pink eye!! They had to draw blood which is absolutely horrible, they checked her blood count which ended up ok. They then gave her a big dose of antibiotic in 2 shots 1 in each leg. We had to wait at the Dr's office for an hour (Dad met us there, because I was freaking out) just to make sure she did not react to the antibiotic shots because it was such a large dose. But she didn't (thank goodness!) We went home and she slept for the rest of the day. We had to do eye drops 3 x's a day for 7 days. Which she does handle pretty well. We had to go back to the Dr. the next morning they wanted to check to see how she was doing. We then started on oral antibiotic. Brynn loves it - she grabs the syringe and puts it in her mouth and drinks it right up. Within 2 days you could not even tell anything had happened. This just proves how perfect she is - she was so sick and I could not tell - - She is so funny right now - she's in to yelling and screaming and screeching really loud and then laughs at herself. Brian keeps saying over and over how cute she is.
5-15-05
Brynn is so much fun. She has been yelling and squealing so much. Brian and I do it right back to her and she thinks that is so funny. She has been eating solids for lunch and dinner - she really enjoys everything that we give her. She gobbels every last bit of it up. Breakfast has been different. She does not like to eat right away in the morning. She will drink 1/2 a bottle and may be 2 bites of food. But if we wait an hour she will finish her bottle and eat her food. That is hard to do when she goes to Julie's house. She is still sleeping 11-12 hours a night. Usually goes to sleep no later than 8 p.m. and wakes up right at 7 a.m. She takes great naps for me, but at Julie's it is a little different. Brynn loves playing with all the kids and has so much fun that she does not like to sleep there. So when we get home we have time to eat, take a bath and then it's right to bed. Brian has been working on her to say da da - we will see.........
5-31-05
Brynn is really starting to move around on her own - not crawling yet, but scooting around in circles and backwards (still not rolling over!). I think that she is very capable, but just has no desire. Julie laugh because Brynn sits and reaches for things that are so out of her reach, but somehow manages to get them. Her laugh makes us laugh so hard at her. She is such a happy and very content baby. People are always asking us what she doesn't like and we haven't been able to find a thing. She loves to talk and play peekaboo - she can even stand on her own against the table or couch. We are so amazed when she does that at only 8 months old - our baby is growing up!! Everyone said that was going to happen we just did not believe them - BOY were we wrong!! :)
6-7-05
We went to our first soccer tournament for Michaela Acklie - which Brian and Ross coach the team. Brynn did very well - she loves to be outside, so she had a great time. Her 2 upper anteriors are about 2-3 days from popping thru. Her gums look very sore!! She is chewing everything and anything. For the past month Macy has been calling Brynn - - Brynnareea - we would just laugh because we could not believe that a 2 year old could come up with a name like that. I asked Macy the other day to say Brynn Marie and she said Brynnareea!! We about died!! What a funny little girl!! We have had Grandma Headlee's bird Lola for the last 2 weeks and Brynn loves that bird. We push her chair right up to the cage and she sits there forever talking to Lola. She is going to be hearbroken when Lola leaves....
6-21-05
Brynn is so close to crawling it is so funny. She gets so upset when she can't get to something. She is really going through something because whenever we walk out of the room she cries until we come back and sit by her. She must be spoiled!! :) Jenny and I took her to Sara's Lake the other day and she loved it. We had her standing in the water up to her neck and she just laughed. I can't believe how well she took to the water. Grandma and Grandpa Kruse set up their swimming pool and got a new and improved baby float. Brynn sat in the float and LOVED! How much fun that she loves water so much!! Her daddy loved to swim when he was younger too so he is very proud...
7-13-05
It seems like so much has happened in the past couple of weeks. Brynn now has 7 teeth. Aunt Jenny always says "You can tell when Brynn gets a tooth because she gets the same runny nose every time then the tooth pops and the runny nose goes away." - - I am watching her right now get up on all 4's and take about 4-5 steps and then drops down to her stomach and then back up again moving faster and faster. She seems so much happier now - last week she was getting so frustrated not being able to get to things. Now we have got a little troublemaker moving around the house - HOW FUN!!
7-16-05
Mom and dad went to the Madison County Fair and Brynn stayed with Great Grandma and Grandpa Kruse all night and went to church with Great Grandma JoAnn in the morning. It really sounds like they got along great. They really got a kick out of how Brynn is scooting around. It is so weird she does crawl on all 4s, but still scoots on her stomach. She is such a character!! Everyone is always commenting on how much she laughs. She is always laughing whether someone is playing with her or she is just all by herself...
7-25-05
Brynn is so funny. We sing La La La and she tried to sing and dances too. We find ourselves laughing hysterically at her new twisting dance moves. :) Her first word is "yeah" we love it - it is a lot better than her saying no. She is so much happier now that she can move around. She keeps wanting to chase Alex. - - It is so funny looking in on her in her crib - we never know which position we will find her in. She is so quiet in there that sometimes we go in and she is on her knees facing the door just waiting for us to come and get her!! Other times she is sleeping with her blanket over her head - what a riot!!
8-1-05
Brynn is now crawling on all 4's. It is really weird yesterday she was still pulling herself around and today she is up on all 4's. And moving very quickly around the house. She is pulling herself up on everything, always to her knees and sometimes manages to get all the way up to standing. We went to Moline, Illinois over the weekend with Grandma and Grandpa Headlee, Brandon and Sarah for Marilyns aunts 90th birthday party. Brynn was the hit of the party (of course)! Grandma really enjoyed showing her off. She did so well during the entire trip hardly took any naps and up so late, not to mention the 7 hour drive!! By the time Saturday nite came she was delirious. We used one of the hotel cribs and we were hanging a towel in front of it so we could watch tv and Brynn kept dropping her pacifier out the bottom of the crib on to the floor and would laugh - then she would pull herself up so we could barely see her over the top, but she could see us and laugh. We could not help but laugh right back - then she kept pulling the towel off for a big game of peekaboo! Finally I just got her up and tried to force her to sleep on me and of course she wouldn't. I was rubbing her back for about 20 minutes which she did not move the entire time so I thought for sure she was sleeping and NO she was staring at me!! I finally let her lay on the bed and she would crawl about 2 steps lay down be sleeping for about 5 seconds get up take another 2 steps sleep 5 seconds - this went on for another 45 minutes!! THEN finally after 3 1/2 hours and 11:00 p.m. she passed out. What a CRAZY child!! She never wants to miss out on a thing...
